We have a huge family…HUGE! Our dad has five brothers and two sisters, and our mom has two sisters. Plus, all of our cousins and their kids, plus our boyfriends and their families! I mean, holy guacamole we have a lot of gift-giving ahead of us. We love to give simple and thoughtful gifts, and these Maple Cinnamon Pecans check all of those boxes. Paired with a card and a personalized note, these really are a treat to give. We love to make a huge batch, separate them into mason jars, and tie them off with a pretty ribbon for the perfect gift.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 1/2 cup pecans
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp sea salt

Directions:

  1. Lightly toast the pecans in a skillet over medium-high heat
  2. Add syrup, cinnamon, and salt
  3. Allow for syrup to come to a boil
  4. Remove from heat once most of the syrup is absorbed into the pecans
  5. Allow for pecans to cool on a sheet of parchment paper – Be sure to spread them out, or they’ll get stuck together as they cool!

If you’re feeling fancy…

Add some crushed candy canes on top as they’re cooling

or

Sprinkle in a tiny bit of cayenne pepper and cumin for some sweet and spicy pecans
