It wouldn’t be summertime without lots of grillin’ and today we are whipping up some Paleo Turkey Burger Sliders. They are full of flavor, packed with protein and sandwiched between a simple sweet potato “bun.” We are in love!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Burger:
2 lb 90/10 ground turkey
1/2 jalapeno, finely diced
1/2 red bell pepper, finely diced
1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Toppings:
2 avocados, diced
2 large sweet potatoes, sliced into 44 discs
2 Tbs olive oil
22 toothpicks
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425F
- Toss sweet potatoes in oil, line on baking sheet, and bake for 20 minutes, or until soft
- Combine burger ingredients and form into 22 3 oz patties
- Grill, bake or pan fry patties
- Assemble into burgers and top with diced avocado
- Hold patties together with toothpicks, and enjoy
