As you know, I am a savory breakfast kinda gal, and I LOVE bagels. If you’re a bagel lover like me, you’ll love these Paleo Everything Bagels! They are so full of flavor that I usually eat them plain, and because they are gluten free their texture is much more tender than a bagel made with wheat. The tapioca starch adds some structure to your bagel, so they hold together like a traditional bagel.

 

Here’s what you’ll need…

1/2 cup almond flour

1/2 cup coconut flour

2 Tbs tapioca starch (or starch of choice)

1 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp onion powder

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

4 large eggs

1/4 cup coconut oil, softened but not melted

4 Tbs almond milk

Toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion flakes or everything bagel seasoning (can be found at Trader Joe’s)

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients
  3. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet mixture
  5. Once well mixed, pour into a greased donut pan
  6. Sprinkle toppings over each bagel
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown
