I cannot tell you how many times I find myself reaching for a quick and simple sweet tooth treat. Few things in life are constant, but my love for finishing off the evening, settling in for the night with a quick treat is one.

One simple suggestion to note, if you have strawberries, apples, bananas, or any other fruit that you prefer, or perhaps oranges aren’t in season, I definitely recommend utilizing that! This treat features a smooth and rich, deep dark chocolate that is perfectly paired with the bright and sweet juice of fresh oranges. Finish off each bite with a little salty kick, and we have a match made in heaven.

3 Mandarin Oranges

1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks

Pinch of sea salt

 

Directions:

  1. Peal and separate oranges and pat dry.
  2. Melt chocolate in the microwave or over a double boiler until smooth and liquid.
  3. Dip orange slices in chocolate and place on a plate or baking sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt while chocolate is still melted.
  4. Repeat until each slice is covered in chocolate and sprinkled in sea salt.
  5. Chill in the freezer or refrigerator until set.
  6. Enjoy these sea salt with chocolate covered oranges within 1-2 days!
